Where is North Idaho Bible Church?
In Oldtown, Idaho. We meet in a home for now. Contact us with any questions.
When does the church meet?
Sundays at 10 AM. Public weekly worship begins Easter Sunday, March 28, 2027, 10 AM. See our Sundays.
What is a service like?
We sing contemporary arrangements of beloved classic hymns alongside modern worship songs. The service also includes Scripture reading, prayer, an expository sermon, the Lord's Supper, and a benediction, followed by a shared meal. See our Sundays.
Is the church part of a denomination?
No. We are an independent, nondenominational Bible church. Read what we believe.
What do you believe?
We believe the Bible is God's Word and our final authority, and that salvation is by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Our full statement of faith is online.
Who is the pastor?
Dave Whalen is our lead pastor and an ACBC-certified biblical counselor. More about Dave.
Do you offer biblical counseling? Does it cost anything?
Yes, starting January 1, 2027. Non-members are asked for a suggested donation of $50 per session. Members receive counseling with no suggested donation. The suggested donation is never required, and no one will be denied counseling because they cannot give. The church may decline or end counseling at the elders' discretion for other reasons. About counseling.
Is counseling the same as therapy?
No. It is pastoral biblical counseling grounded in Scripture, not licensed professional therapy. Learn more.
Is there something for kids?
Kids stay with their families in the service, and we provide activity pages for them.
How do I become a member?
Talk with Pastor Dave. Members profess faith in Christ, have been baptized as believers, and affirm our statement of faith. See membership.
Is my gift tax-deductible?
The church is organized for purposes described in Section 501(c)(3); churches that meet IRS requirements are tax-exempt without applying, and we plan to ask the IRS for a determination letter in 2027. Please talk with your tax advisor about deductibility. Tax status.
