Our church offers biblical counseling to members and to anyone in the community.
What it is
Biblical counseling brings God’s Word to bear on real life, patiently and personally, in a loving relationship. We can help with:
- Marriage
- Premarital
- Individual
- Family and parenting
- Anxiety and fear
- Depression and discouragement
- Grief and loss
- Anger and conflict
- Addiction and habitual sin
- Sexual purity
- Suffering and trials
- Spiritual growth
It is pastoral care grounded in Scripture, not licensed professional therapy. We gladly work alongside doctors and other care for the body.

Who counsels
Pastor Dave Whalen and others the elders approve. Women are counseled by qualified women under the elders’ oversight. Dave and Jocelyn are both certified by the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC).
When
Counseling starts January 1, 2027, for church members and anyone in the community.
Cost
Non-members are asked for a suggested donation of $50 per session. Members receive counseling with no suggested donation. The suggested donation is never required, and no one will be denied counseling because they cannot give. The church may decline or end counseling at the elders’ discretion for other reasons.
Donations are made to the church, not the counselor.
Confidentiality
Counseling records are kept confidential and secure, open only to the elders and those they authorize. We ask for your written consent when we begin, and we follow the law on mandatory reporting.
